On a cold winter night in February of 1990, some old friends gathered to share the warmth of a common love... Western Music. By the end of that evening, they decided to combine their talents and create what has become

“Montana’s Finest Western Vocal Group”.

Pollo Loco ( Poy' Å Lōkō / Spanish: Chicken Crazy) has received acclaim for their pure harmonies, warm western sound and

"off the cuff" humor that endears them to audiences

wherever they perform.

Pollo Loco is...

Lonnie Johnson- Lead Guitar & vocals

Chuck Fulcher –Upright Bass, Mandolin, Harmonica & Vocals

Jeff Christiansen – Rhythm Guitar & Vocals.

Pollo Loco has released 3 CDs…

“Committed to Country" - a collection of original songs

"Songs from the Saddle - some of their favorite Western Classics "Three Hombres on the Trail" with new original songs and more favorites

"Pollo Loco is a staple for the Music in the Library Park series. They bring a fun and fresh energy to the Park and continuously bring the most excitement from the crowd. Great Falls loves to hang out with them, and we love to host them!"

Sarah Cawley /  Great Falls Public Library

"Last year Pollo Loco performed at our Spring Gala and connected with our audience with their well-known western music favorites. They are flexible, laid back yet professional, and genuinely nice people. They even did an impromptu performance with the residents at our local chronic care facility!"

Jim Goss / Mineral County Performing Arts Council

"Pollo Loco is one of the favorite bands that performs in the Delaney Sawmill Teepee Burner at Sculpture in the Wild in Lincoln Montana. It wouldn’t be Music in the Wild without the “Crazy Chickens”. We look forward to their return in the summer of 2026"

Becky Garland / Sculpture in the Wild

"Judith Arts Society booked Pollo Loco for a Pub Night Series Concert in Stanford, MT on January 14, 2026. We had seen Pollo Loco perform at previous Montana Performing Arts Consortium showcases and had booked them for a similar event in Utica MT in 2022. We found them to be professional and easy to work with throughout the booking process. They were a good fit for our venues and travel with their own stage setup and equipment. This trio is a local favorite in our area and put on an excellent show each time we had them. They are true to their western roots and had a deep catalog of songs that really resonated with our audience. They had an easy rapport with the crowd, keeping them entertained with jokes and stories. We are happy to recommend Pollo Loco for a fun and well received concert experience!"

Misty Annala / Judith Arts Society

Dear Jeff, Lonnie & Chuck...

"It was a Great, Great Evening. The audience loved you.

They would have stayed there all night, I think.

Thank you so much!"

Mary Dietz / Great Falls Community Concert Association
